Photo Etch manufactures sophisticated integrally-lit display and control panels, flight simulation and training components, as well as black boxes. One of the company's specialties is night vision technology for airborne military operations.

Since 1968, Photo Etch has maintained its leadership position in the aerospace manufacturing industry through a strong, lean manufacturing program, 99% on-time deliveries, shorter lead times, adherence to strict quality control standards, quick response times, and state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment.

The company’s international customer base includes Boeing, Lockheed-Martin, U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. Air Force, just to name a few.

Over the years, Photo Etch has received numerous awards from top players in the aerospace industry including the L3 Joint Operations Group Most Improved Supplier Award in 2006, Boeing Supplier Appreciation Award in 2004, and the Lockheed Small Business of the Year Award in 2003.

In 2006, Photo Etch joined the Supplier Excellence Alliance(SEA) and appointed to the Supplier Advisory Council in December. Photo Etch has served on the SEA Board of Directors since April 2007. On January 31, 2008, Photo Etch became the third company to earn SEA certification.

To achieve Stage 1 certiication, a company must document and successfully carry out 11 processes. They include strategic planning, leadership communication, material management, workforce development, and more. In addition, the company must track and show improvements in the following four business metrics over 15 months: inventory turns, sales per employee, on-time delivery, and process maturity. SEA then spends two full days of auditing to conirm compliance.
